Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for the design and development of frontend software and its integration with backend APIs.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, frontend engineers, API/backend developers, hardware engineers, QA, and DevOps.
- Define and track project plans, milestones, risks, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
- Collaborate with vendors and hardware teams to ensure frontend compatibility with vendor hardware and operating systems.
- Oversee requirements gathering and scope management, ensuring alignment with client and operational needs.
- Manage Agile or Hybrid delivery cycles with sprints, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
- Prepare and lead client and stakeholder presentations, status reports, and steering committee meetings.
- Drive UAT planning and go-live readiness, including deployment coordination and post-launch support.
- Ensure compliance with data security, accessibility, and public transit regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus).
- 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in transportation, self-service kiosks, or embedded UI projects.
- Proven track record delivering frontend applications in embedded or kiosk environments, especially touchscreen interfaces.
- Experience managing projects that involve RESTful API integration, hardware-software interfacing, and device middleware.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices, particularly for touch-based interfaces with accessibility in mind.
- Familiarity with hardware abstraction layers, system compatibility testing, and OS-level constraints (Linux-based preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent PM tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in transport, mobility, or ticketing systems.
- Understanding of edge device deployment strategies, versioning, and OTA (over-the-air) updates.
- Exposure to cloud-hosted backend services (Azure, AWS) for API management and analytics.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks for embedded frontend applications.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in French is required for this position.
