Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security alerts from SIEM, EDR, VA, and SOAR platforms to identify potential threats.
  • Support incident response by gathering evidence, performing investigations, and documenting findings.
  • Tune SOC detection rules and improve detection accuracy to reduce false positives.
  • Conduct health checks on security monitoring tools and ensure proper functioning of logs, sensors, and data.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly SOC reports for internal tracking and leadership visibility.
  • Review vulnerability scan results and assist in remediation prioritization.
  • Collaborate with technical teams during security investigations for effective risk mitigation.
  • Participate in security awareness initiatives to strengthen enterprise-wide cybersecurity practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a SOC, IT security, or relevant technical role.
  • Understanding of SIEM technologies, EDR platforms, and network security fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and advancement in cybersecurity.
