Security Engineer

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and implementation of security controls within applications, APIs, backend services, infrastructure, and cloud environments. Your main goal will be to ensure that all solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure Engineering and Implementation: Design and implement security measures within software and infrastructure.
• Application, API, and Platform Security: Support secure software development life cycle (SDLC) practices, conduct code and configuration reviews, strengthen API security, and protect sensitive data.
• DevOps and Deployment Automation: Incorporate security testing, secrets management, and configuration checks into CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Threat Analysis and Vulnerability Management: Conduct threat modeling, validate vulnerabilities, prioritize risks, and track remediation efforts.
• Backup, Recovery, Monitoring, and Support: Monitor security events and system health, support incident response activities, conduct root-cause analysis, and assist in recovery efforts.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience in secure engineering and implementation is essential.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, application security, and security protocols is preferred.

Salary Range: $19K/hr - $25K/hr
