The Security Engineer will work closely with Platform Engineering, SOC, Incident Response, Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security Architecture teams to strengthen the organisation's cyber defence posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corelight NDR Administration & Engineering: Manage Corelight sensors, develop network detection use cases, ensure traffic visibility, and integrate with SIEM and SOC platforms.
- Detection Engineering & Threat Hunting: Develop detections, create use cases, and conduct proactive threat hunting.
- Cloudflare Security Administration: Manage web application security services, DNS security, and deliver Zero Trust security.
- Incident Response & Investigations: Investigate network attacks, support forensic activities, and lead security incident responses.
- Security Monitoring: Enhance detection coverage and develop KPIs and security metrics.
- Integration & Automation: Integrate with various platforms and develop automation scripts.
- Governance, Compliance & Security Standards: Ensure solutions align with relevant compliance and regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Security, or IT Engineering
- 5-7 years of cybersecurity experience managing network security technologies
- Hands-on experience with Corelight NDR or Zeek-based solutions and Cloudflare security services
- Strong network security fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, and packet analysis
Preferred:
- Experience with Python and PowerShell scripting
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cloudflare Certified Administrator, Security+)
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English (additional languages may be beneficial but unspecified).
