Position

The company, an e& enterprise company, is seeking a talented and experienced Security Engineer – NGFW & DDOS. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating procedures, implementing processes, and maintaining security systems across internal and client environments. The Security Engineer will collaborate with Management, Senior Engineers, Threat Analysts, Solution Architects, other Security Engineers, and clients to deliver high-profile, critical services to existing Managed Security Service clients.

Location: Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (On-site)
Work Conditions: Full-time, 24/7 support team

Responsibilities:

  • Act as L1 for DDOS & Firewall technologies for the company customers.
  • Monitor, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot IP Networks and interconnected Network Security technologies.
  • Provide timely responses to all incidents, outages, and performance alerts.
  • Take responsibility for handling incidents and escalate timely to SME teams.
  • Notify customers and various stakeholder teams for faster resolution and updates.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of demonstrable industry experience.
  • Expert and in-depth knowledge of complex IP networks.
  • Solid understanding of Network Security technologies, data center traffic flow, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience in Network Operations/Security Operations.
  • Understanding of ITIL change management, problem management, and incident management.
  • Experience working under pressure and with strict SLAs.
  • Familiarity with common services (web, mail, FTP, DNS, etc.), network vulnerabilities, and network attack patterns.
  • Experience with various security controls, including Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Antimalware, Two-factor Authentication, Sandboxing, VPNs, and Firewall Rules Auditing.
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
