In this role, you will engage with top-tier professionals in technology to monitor, triage, respond to, and document new and existing vulnerabilities in open source software. Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing, fixing, and testing vulnerabilities in Ubuntu packages
- Tracking vulnerabilities in Ubuntu releases
- Collaborating with teams in the Ubuntu community and upstream developers to exchange or develop vulnerability patches
- Auditing source code for vulnerabilities
Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, Remote, Requires international travel several times a year (about twice a year for up to two weeks each time)
Candidate Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of security vulnerabilities and techniques to address them
- Familiarity with coordinated disclosure practices and open source development tools
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, or PHP
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with team members and community members effectively
- Experience with Linux (preferably Debian or Ubuntu)
