Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards.
  • Lead safety training sessions, promoting awareness and adherence to protocols.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Collaborate with management on executing safety improvement plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and training.
  • Ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Act as a point of contact for safety matters, providing guidance to employees.
  • Promote and develop teamwork, praising team members in public.
  • Ensure high cleanliness standards in the pool area and maintain equipment.
  • Utilize communication tools to disseminate information timely.
  • Conduct daily follow-ups to maintain quality and service standards.
  • Support implementation of new ideas and coach team members for performance improvement.
  • Challenge existing procedures to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure guests receive an enjoyable and memorable experience.
  • Provide professional service and seek continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with team members and hotel colleagues.
  • Ensure punctuality and uphold grooming and hygiene standards.
  • Attend daily operational briefings with direct reports.
  • Familiarize oneself with emergency procedures and remain prepared for emergencies.
  • Be knowledgeable about relevant company documentation and Quality Standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar HSE role, preferably in luxury hospitality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and risk management regulations and standards.
  • Experience with safety inspections, risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to prepare clear safety reports and compliance documentation.
  • Knowledge of PPE requirements and emergency response procedures.
  • Good communication skills in English, capable of training and supporting employees.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive safety approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
