The company seeks exceptional security-focused software engineers to be integrated across product teams. While contributing to product development, the primary focus is to enhance teams' security consciousness through advanced practices like threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security analysis tools. These roles encompass all aspects of product security, including feature development, vulnerability response, and engaging with the open source community.

Location: Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, remote with mandatory international travel at least twice a year.

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and document new security features.
  • Lead security-focused initiatives within product engineering teams.
  • Analyze, fix, and test vulnerabilities in open source software.
  • Contribute to Ubuntu and upstream open source projects.
  • Audit and analyze source code for vulnerabilities.
  • Integrate new tools into security infrastructure and processes.
  • Achieve and maintain various security certifications.
  • Design and develop hardening automation for Ubuntu.
  • Stay updated with trends in the security industry.
  • Provide guidance on security best practices to other engineering teams.

Requirements

  • An exceptional academic background in Computer Science or STEM.
  • Strong track record of exceeding expectations.
  • In-depth understanding of common security vulnerabilities and their fixes.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C, C++, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP, JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Experience with security within a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Professional written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with Linux (preferably Debian or Ubuntu).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and a results-oriented mindset.

Optional Skills

  • Effective communication with teams and community members.
  • Experience with the Linux kernel and security certifications (FIPS/CC).
  • Knowledge of cryptographic modules and APIs.
  • Quick learning ability and performance engineering experience.
