About the Role
The Security Systems Specialist is responsible for the technical delivery, maintenance, and optimization of physical security systems across branches, HQ, and facilities throughout the UAE. The role provides end-to-end technical support for security system projects, including site surveys, contractor coordination, design review, installation, testing, and commissioning. The specialist ensures system performance, regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance, analytics monitoring, and continuous improvement of CCTV, access control, alarm, and VMS platforms, while also supporting vendors, audits, and management reporting.

Key Accountabilities
Security Systems Operations & Project Delivery:
- Manage physical security system projects (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, VMS) across branches, HQ, and facilities in the UAE, from concept and design through execution and completion.
- Conduct site surveys, progress inspections, and technical assessments at project locations across all UAE regions to validate scope, design, and implementation readiness.
- Attend and coordinate on-site meetings with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure alignment with approved security scope, standards, and timelines.
- Liaise with internal projects, facilities, IT, and security teams to coordinate all security-related project activities and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in design review, branch setup, and project coordination meetings to define, track, and deliver security system requirements.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support during project execution, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
Security Systems Design & Technical Review:
- Review, revise, and validate security system layout drawings, schematics, and network designs in line with established standards.
- Verify technical designs, plans, and material quantities for accuracy, compatibility, and site conditions.
- Ensure all materials, devices, cabling, and system configurations comply with approved specifications.
Authority & Regulatory Compliance:
- Sort, review, and validate technical submittals to comply with local authority requirements (ADMCC in Abu Dhabi, SIRA in Dubai, etc.).
- Prepare, coordinate, and obtain Police/CID approvals for new installations, renovations, and system upgrades.
- Ensure authority approvals and compliance documentation are secured prior to commissioning.
Vendor, Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, subcontractors, planners, supervisors, and internal teams during project and maintenance activities.
- Review, assess, and approve vendor technical submittals, product datasheets, and system proposals.
- Coordinate with Procurement on technical requirements for system contracts and renewals.
Maintenance & Security Systems Performance Management:
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and service providers to ensure continuous availability, stability, and reliability of all security systems.
- Provide technical support for newly implemented IP-based systems, including configuration verification, commissioning checks, and system handover.
- Review monthly corrective and preventive maintenance reports, identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure closure.
- Verify execution of quarterly preventive maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations and contract terms.
- Monitor system health indicators such as camera uptime, storage utilization, network performance, device failures, and alarm responsiveness.
- Support advanced troubleshooting in coordination with vendors, IT teams, and security control room operators.
Monitoring, Analytics & Technical Reporting:
- Analyze security system performance using monitoring tools, VMS, and system diagnostics tools.
- Review and validate monthly technical dashboards covering CCTV, alarms, access control, and system availability.
- Track and report technical KPIs and KRIs, including downtime, repeat failures, false alarms, and SLA compliance.
- Prepare structured technical reports with recommendations for optimization, upgrades, and risk mitigation.
- Maintain as-built drawings, system inventories, configuration records, and technical documentation.
- Provide detailed technical updates to management, monitoring teams, and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement, Optimization & Technology Enhancement:
- Identify opportunities for system optimization, standardization, and technology upgrades across locations.
- Recommend improvements related to system architecture, analytics utilization, storage efficiency, redundancy, and resilience.
- Support the implementation of new security technologies, advanced analytics, and integration with enterprise platforms.
- Contribute technical expertise to improve system lifecycle management, cybersecurity alignment, and operational efficiency.
- Support audits, inspections, and reviews by providing technical evidence, analysis, and performance insights.
Technical Knowledge and Competencies
Technical Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of CCTV, VMS, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm Systems.
- Experience supporting security system projects, including site surveys, contractor coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning across multiple locations.
- Ability to review technical drawings, layouts, and submittals in line with standards and UAE authority requirements.
- Hands-on understanding of IP-based security systems, system health monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Capability to support tenders/RFPs, BOQs, maintenance scopes, and vendor technical evaluations.
- Experience in system performance analysis, KPI/KRI monitoring, and technical reporting.
- Ability to conduct site inspections, progress reviews, and coordinate corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience
- This position is for UAE Nationals only.
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Previous Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar security system role.
