Key Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate airport security system designs, including High-Level and Low Level Designs, specifications, BOQs, tender documents, and technical deliverables throughout concept, detailed design, construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with ICAO, GACA, IATA, SBC, NFPA, IEC, ISO 27001, and project-specific Employer Requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including security, ICT, electrical, mechanical, architectural, civil, and airport operational teams.
- Participate in design workshops, value engineering sessions, constructability reviews, and technical risk assessments.
- Monitor contractor adherence to approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Identify design risks, technical gaps, and interface issues while proposing effective mitigation measures.
- Coordinate the integration of security systems with airport management and operational platforms.
- Review FAT, SAT, Testing & Commissioning procedures, Operational Readiness (ORAT) requirements, as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and handover activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, ICT Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional engineering registration with a recognized engineering body is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in ICT, ELV, and Security Systems.
- At least 5 years of experience in airport projects.
- Background in design consultancy, Project Management Consultancy (PMC), supervision consultancy, contractor, or airport operator environments.
- Familiarity with applicable standards and regulations is essential.
- Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Analytical and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Understanding of sustainable construction practices and their application in project delivery.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
