We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in general accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations, with mandatory prior experience in a shipping company or ship management environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and general ledger activities.
- Record and review journal entries and financial transactions.
- Prepare financial statements and periodic financial reports.
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor outstanding receivables, payables, and account balances.
- Analyse financial data, investigate variances and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate financial records and support improvements in accounting processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Mandatory experience in a shipping company or ship management organisation.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- CMA, CPA, or CFA certification will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
