The Senior AI DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud architectures across Azure and AWS for core banking and AI platforms. This role translates complex business requirements into high-level (HLD) and low-level designs (LLD), leading the institution's hybrid-cloud strategy, FinOps optimization, and zero-trust security implementations. The candidate will ensure alignment with financial regulations such as PCI-DSS and ISO/IEC 27001 while providing technical mentorship to engineering squads.
Responsibilities
- Architect and engineer secure, resilient multi-cloud infrastructures spanning Azure and AWS, creating comprehensive HLDs and LLDs.
- Implement enterprise-grade cloud governance frameworks, enforcing compliance-as-code and zero-trust network boundaries to meet financial regulatory baselines.
- Establish cloud cost-management frameworks and resource optimization strategies for high-performance infrastructure.
- Design secure multi-cloud deployment pipelines with automated vulnerability gating and compliance controls.
- Provide technical leadership to senior business units and risk committees, defending architectural decisions.
- Mentor mid-level engineering teams, driving best practices in infrastructure automation, cloud routing, and identity management.
Requirements
- In-depth architecture knowledge across AWS and Azure, focusing on identity ecosystems, serverless workloads, and database engines.
- Practical knowledge of architectures compliant with banking standards such as PCI-DSS and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Capability in drafting modular infrastructure templates using tools like Terraform or Bicep.
- Proficiency in secure network typologies, cloud-native firewalls, and cross-cloud routing.
- Ability to translate technical architectures into business value summaries for senior leadership.
- Minimum of 8 years in infrastructure engineering or cloud operations, with at least 3 years as a Senior Engineer or Tech Lead in dual-cloud environments.
- Experience engineering automated infrastructure within a regulated banking or insurance institution.
- Proven track record of authoring HLDs and LLDs for corporate architecture boards.
- Experience in directing technical workloads and building engineering velocity metrics.
