Senior AI Engineer

This role is essential for constructing advanced AI-driven solutions that assist our business partners in meeting the increasing demand for personalized and intelligent digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI & Agent System Engineering:

  • Implement intent classification flows, tool routing logic, multi-step reasoning chains, session memory management, and structured output parsing.
  • Build and maintain a deterministic validation layer checking LLM actions against policy rules before calling live banking APIs.
  • Optimize document ingestion workflows, vector retrieval, and context injection.
  • Implement enforcement in code to determine autonomous vs. user-confirmed actions and build automated agent evaluation tests.

• Cloud-Native Service Development:

  • Construct containerized, stateless, horizontally scalable workloads designed to manage upstream banking API failures.
  • Implement distributed tracing, structured logging for audits, and metric instrumentation for latency and error rates.
  • Manage token budgets, streaming response handling, model fallback logic, and API error handling in LLM integration.
  • Develop idempotent consumers/producers on the Kafka pipeline targeting sub-second latency.

• Banking API Integration & Performance:

  • Build request transformation, authentication, rate limiting, and retry logic connecting the system to bank middleware.
  • Implement security controls and logic for transaction safety for agent actions, while also optimizing performance focusing on cost efficiency and data freshness.

Experience & Qualifications:
Essential Criteria:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in production systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript focusing on clean, testable code.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and API design in regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based systems, RAG components, and AI safety features.
• Experience in building automated evaluation pipelines.
• Strong background in cloud-native technologies.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Familiarity with canary deployments and production rollback strategies.
• Knowledge of banking API integration and compliance frameworks like PCI-DSS or SOC 2.

Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is required.
