Responsibilities
- Develop novel state-of-the-art vision algorithms leveraging deep learning techniques.
- Research, develop, and prototype advanced computer vision technologies integrated with hardware edge processors.
- Create high-quality computer vision algorithms for localization, object detection, classification, and video analysis.
- Translate algorithms into production-level code.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at local, national, and international levels.
- Contribute to a large code base in Python for deploying models in production environments.
- Implement best practices for data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training, ensuring consistent adherence by the team.
- Conduct regular code reviews, providing technical guidance and feedback to team members, ensuring high-quality, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Interface with Product/Project managers to develop R&D plans, proposals, intellectual property filings, and commercialization strategies.
- Collaborate with Product/Project managers to maintain a roadmap for AI projects, identifying key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to develop, test, deploy, and maintain software/AI systems while participating in product backlog grooming, sprint planning, execution, review, and retrospectives.
- Work with IT, software, and security teams to deploy production-grade AI solutions that comply with relevant data privacy and security regulations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand business needs and develop machine learning solutions that meet those requirements.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in AI, Remote Sensing, Survey, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills
- Experience developing machine learning models and neural network-based computer vision models (3+ years).
- Experience deploying production-grade machine learning and vision systems on the edge for real-time applications (3+ years).
- Python expertise.
- Strong software engineering skills.
- Strong presentation and communication abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, and Scikit-learn.
- Experience using OpenCV.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Experience with DevOps cloud tools (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Triton inference server is a plus.
- Experience with MLOps tools such as Kubeflow is a plus.
- Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django) is a plus.
- Experience handling large Python codebases is a plus.
- Experience developing computer vision algorithms for anomaly detection is a plus.
