The position requires a high degree of ownership, where the engineer will independently bring solutions from concept to production. Responsibilities include architecture decisions, technology selection, and delivering AI solutions with an emphasis on backend API development, large language model (LLM) integration, and deployment on Azure. The focus is primarily on building scalable, production-grade AI systems, with limited frontend development for prototyping and internal tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming: Advanced Python skills (FastAPI or similar); TypeScript knowledge is a plus.
- APIs & Integrations: Experience in building RESTful APIs, OAuth2/JWT authentication, and enterprise system integrations.
- LLM & RAG Systems: Proven ability to develop production-grade LLM applications and RAG systems, including chunking/embedding strategies and prompt engineering.
- Data & Storage Systems: Experience with vector databases, SQL/NoSQL databases, datalakes, and efficient retrieval strategies.
- Data Processing & Pipelines: Strong experience in handling unstructured/document-heavy data, including ingestion pipelines and multilingual processing (Arabic is a plus).
- Cloud & Deployment: Hands-on Azure experience including App Services, Functions, Storage, and monitoring tools.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with Databricks or similar data engineering platforms.
- Experience in regulated industries (Tax, Legal, Financial Services).
- Familiarity with Azure AI Document Intelligence or similar tools.
