Senior AI Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our AI/Computer Vision team and work on the development of next-generation AI solutions for real-time, embedded and autonomous systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role for an experienced professional who combines strong software engineering and C++ expertise with AI/ML and Computer Vision. You will work on challenging applications across computer vision, video analytics, sensor fusion, navigation and autonomous systems, with the opportunity to contribute to advanced aerospace and defence programmes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and integrate AI/ML and Computer Vision solutions for real-time and edge platforms.
• Develop algorithms for object detection, tracking, recognition and classification.
• Work on video analytics, sensor fusion, navigation and autonomous systems.
• Develop production-quality software using C++ and Python.
• Deploy and optimize AI models on GPU and edge computing platforms.
• Integrate AI solutions with embedded systems, sensors and hardware/software interfaces.
• Perform software design, development, integration, testing, verification and debugging.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across AI, software, embedded, systems, hardware and testing.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical decisions and major programme milestones.
• Work in accordance with established V-model, quality and safety-critical development processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of relevant hands-on engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Strong experience in AI/ML and Computer Vision.
• Experience with deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with embedded and/or real-time systems.
• Strong Linux, Git and Docker experience.
• Experience taking AI/ML solutions from development through integration and production deployment.
• Strong software development, debugging and system integration experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson and GPU optimization.
• Experience with ROS2.
• Strong knowledge of sensor fusion, autonomous navigation/guidance or reinforcement learning.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, UAV/UGV, robotics or autonomous systems.
• Real-time Linux and embedded AI experience.
• Knowledge of DO-178B, ARP4754 or other safety-critical development standards.
• Experience with communication protocols and hardware/software interfaces.
• Strong system design, software architecture and technical leadership experience.
