The Careem Data Science team is dedicated to driving competitive value from data at scale through the development of AI models to enhance user experiences and operational efficiencies. As a Senior AI Scientist II, you will significantly contribute to this mission by working with top talent and leveraging Generative AI to enhance user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the AI transformation for Careem's app with a focus on personalization.
- Develop a long-term vision for customer acquisition and engagement strategies using data-driven methods.
- Conduct exploratory analyses to understand user behavior and identify opportunities for product enhancements.
- Influence data and machine learning models to optimize product experiences.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to inform product and business decisions.
- Implement scalable machine learning algorithms for big data applications.
- Perform exploratory data analyses to uncover growth and optimization areas.
- Define, track, and communicate key project metrics and results through randomized controlled experiments.
- Explore and integrate new data processing technologies, following industry best practices.
- Build and deploy retrieval-augmented generation systems and applications using large language models.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in data mining, predictive modeling, time series analysis, and machine learning, with expertise in Big Data methodologies.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Strong experience with Deep Learning techniques and a minimum of 1-2 years of industrial experience in personalization, recommendation, or search within a product-driven environment.
- Proven problem-solving and coding skills, with proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and Hive.
- Familiarity with database technologies and experience with business intelligence and visualization tools is a plus.

Work Conditions:
Full-time; 4 days a week in the office & 1 day from home; option to work remotely from any country for 30 days a year; unlimited vacation days.
