Senior Analyst, Digital Commercial & Financial Solutions

About the Role
The Senior Analyst (Group Commercial & Financial Solutions) plays a crucial role in deploying, customizing, maintaining, and supporting high-quality, cost-effective solutions to meet digital business requirements. The position involves planning, coordinating, and participating in the development of domain-specific strategies and reviewing business processes required for the deployment of new solutions. Furthermore, the Senior Analyst leads the development and support of interfaces between systems, evaluates package solutions, and ensures the applications adhere to the company's security and control measures.

Key Accountabilities
Identification of Business Needs

• Partner with Group Commercial & Financial process owners to identify technological needs and explore scalable IT solutions aligned with the company Group Digital & Cybersecurity standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and business cases for new IT solutions or services using Group Digital & Cybersecurity project management methodologies.
• Review third-party proposals for digital solutions and provide expert analysis to highlight technical concerns and recommend optimal negotiation terms.
• Create architecture specifications and high-level design documentation for new or enhanced digital services.

Group Commercial & Financial Solutions Standards and Framework

• Conduct research to consolidate best practices in digital solutions management and maintain an internal best practice repository.
• Collaborate with the Group Digital & Cybersecurity Security function to develop policies ensuring compliance with the framework.
• Support disaster recovery planning and validate compliance of digital projects with architectural standards.
• Analyze and improve data and application architecture for end-to-end support.

Group Commercial & Financial Solution Development

• Lead development projects for Group Commercial & Financial solutions, ensuring effective project management and alignment with business needs.
• Provide expertise to achieve technical efficiency and facilitate an integrated organization-wide information model.
• Manage various stages of the business application development project lifecycle to ensure timely completion and compliance with projections, standards, and objectives.
• Design and implement test plans, conducting User Acceptance Testing and documenting outcomes.

Group Commercial & Financial Solutions Delivery

• Conduct analyses, scope developments, and technical evaluations to develop and deliver solutions.
• Ensure adherence to company standards and strategies in delivering vertical business requirements.
• Support business users in line with SLAs and delivery guidelines, and lead the development of cost-effective solutions deemed critical for operations.
• Ensure all deployed solutions meet quality assurance processes and comply with established standards.
• Report on project progress against plans, managing compliance with project management methodologies.

Conduct Systems' Pre-Deployment Activities

• Conduct feasibility studies and assist in designing business processes for system implementations.
• Analyze functional requirements and recommend process improvements.
• Perform impact analyses to ensure synchronization with cross-functional business solutions.

Evaluate New Solutions and Services

• Assess off-the-shelf packages and recommend solutions for business requirements.
• Support implementations of existing enterprise solutions and develop necessary interfaces between solutions.
• Develop secure software programs that comply with company standards.
• Prioritize change requests effectively.

Solution Upgrade & Maintenance

• Plan and implement maintenance initiatives to meet changing business requirements, including technical expertise and data backup recovery.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new tools to optimize solutions.

Document the Company Digital Solutions and Services

• Prepare solutions design documentation and maintain up-to-date documentation throughout development lifecycles.
• Archive and keep accessible all solution documents.

Act as an SME for Future Domain Specific Implementations

• Implement best practices for Group Commercial & Financial Solutions.
• Plan software release deployments and provide user training and support.

Other Duties

• Contribute to the protection of digital assets by implementing information security standards.
• Perform other required duties as needed.

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities to achieve functional objectives and develop relevant skills within the team.

Budgets

• Provide input for budget preparation and assist in implementing work plans.
• Highlight significant budget variances to support performance and cost control.

• Implement approved policies and processes to support departmental goals in line with company standards.

• Contribute to achieving approved performance objectives within the company framework.

• Design and implement tools to improve operational processes and identify process improvements to increase efficiency.

• Comply with HSE policies and sustainability guidelines.

Reports

• Provide input for management reports and activities.

Communications & Working Relationships
Internal

• Regular contact with IT Management Team and Unit Managers regarding digital solutions and services delivery.
• Frequent interaction with Project Managers and Enterprise Architects to align project portfolios.
• Coordination with counterparts in the company Group Companies on IT-related issues.

External

• Regular communication with vendors, consultants, and professional organizations to ensure quality service delivery.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• 8 years relevant IT experience focused on IT solutions, application development, and project management. Experience in IT consultancy preferred.
• Knowledge of IT Architecture tools, ERP system architecture, and IT governance.

Professional Certifications

• Preferred certification in Business Solutions/Application Development from a recognized institution.
