About the Role
This position ensures the efficiency of data entry and manipulation of financial data while administering and maintaining various databases such as General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payables, Currencies, and Chart of Accounts. Responsibilities include ensuring the integrity of interfaces between Oracle Financials and ancillary systems, supervising monthly closing processes, and maintaining the General Ledger along with the production of Financial and Cost Reports. The role also provides support to Finance Division end users and Away Teams, oversees charge out compliance in the Oracle Financial Costing System, participates in finance-related system implementations, and provides training to Finance Division end users and Young UAE Nationals. The incumbent will analyze and propose automation solutions to improve financial processes while performing various analyses and developing ad-hoc queries.

Key Accountabilities
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Analyze the integrity and classification of accounting code combinations requested by Finance Away Teams and ROs.
- Define code combinations based on requirements from Finance Away Teams and ROs.
- Create, update, activate, and deactivate segment values and code combinations in Oracle Financials.
- Maintain Oracle for Inventory, Internal, and External commitments.
- Interface Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to Oracle Financial for actuals and commitments.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and quarterly/annual billing statements and budget reports in accordance with company guidelines and schedules.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the reporting mechanism, ensuring full utilization of the Financial Systems (Oracle Financial and Maximo).
- Prepare Budget Notifications and Performance Reports at the business/service units level on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis.
- Design Budget and Business Plan templates, producing financial data for a 5-Year Plan for corporate planning.
- Ensure all Financial and Management Reports are prepared and delivered to shareholders and company management concerning joint ventures and sole risks activities.
- Perform duties safely and efficiently, adhering to HSE requirements.
- Ensure subordinates perform duties safely and are aware of related HSE procedures.
- Generate monthly trial balances for ADOF and Concessions timely.
- Check and reconcile relevant balance sheet accounts periodically, investigating differences and preparing journal vouchers for necessary adjustments.
- Check and reconcile Interface Reports with General Ledger reports, investigating anomalies and preparing journal vouchers for adjustments.
- Prepare Cash Calls for associated ventures after monitoring expenditure.
- Run Allocations after verifying expenditures and pass journals through Oracle.
- Prepare variances by comparing actuals by month and against budget.
- Draft quarterly and annual financial statements for ADOF and Concessions in accordance with Accounting Guide and IFRS.

- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, and controls along with applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in alignment with international standards and best practices.
Reports
- Provide input to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for company management.
Communications & Working Relationships
Internal
- Contact Division Managers regarding financial matters.
- Communicate with Finance Away Teams, Job Officers, and Division Planners about financial and budgeting matters.
External
- Liaise with Concession Holders and External Auditors.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 8 - 9 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably within the oil/gas industry.
- Proficient in English.
Professional Certifications
- ACA, ACCA, ACMA, or CPA.
