Position

This role involves assisting the Relationship Head for Financial Institutions (Africa & Levant region) and Relationship Managers in preparing management information systems (MIS), business plans, and resolving operational issues. The Senior Analyst will strengthen relationships with client banks to help achieve both financial and non-financial goals for the assigned countries, manage cross-border limits and exposures, and support the generation of business through professional marketing of financial institution products. The analyst will also act as a backup for the Relationship Manager in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, strengthen, and enhance relationships with key trade, cash, and compliance staff at banks at both branch and head office levels.
  • Manage client profiles including AML/KYC/CDD, account setups, monitoring, and pricing.
  • Ensure adherence to all audit, compliance, and operations policies.
  • Support RM/SRM/RH in marketing efforts to meet annual targets, including introductions to new financial institutions.
  • Assist in the collection of commissions and revenues from client banks.
  • Ensure all client complaints and inquiries are resolved within turnaround time and escalate unresolved cases to the Senior Manager.
  • Coordinate with operations, risk management, and transaction management in addressing client business requirements.
  • Deliver quality account services in collaboration with operations and customer service teams.
  • Perform tasks with minimal supervision and consult RM/SRM/RH for decision making and approval.
  • Actively participate in preparing marketing strategies and business plans.
  • Secure legal clearance on contracts and agreements with client banks.
  • Act as a backup for RM/SRM.
  • Assist the Managing Director in preparing MIS.
  • Identify and promote business opportunities.
  • Support the Relationship Management team in nurturing and developing both existing and prospective relationships.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial institution products and transaction management services.
  • Familiarity with trade finance and cash management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong credit and marketing background.
  • University degree with at least 5 years of experience in the financial institution business.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
