Key Accountabilities:
- Utilize Agile engineering practices and various software and mobile development technologies to rapidly create innovative and efficient solutions that enhance the client and employee experiences.
- Collaborate with team members to create clear user stories, design tests for prototypes and products, and continuously deliver product enhancements.
- Communicate and negotiate with internal and external teams regarding timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.
- Model best-practice engineering processes and Agile behavior, guiding team members to follow suit.
- Engage with business stakeholders to set and manage expectations around Agile processes, delivery methods, and timelines.
- Promote and implement best practices in automation, including continuous integration and deployment.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required:
- Passion for development and a commitment to continual learning.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and leading Agile teams.
- Extensive mobile development experience with Android, Android Studio, and Gradle for both phone and tablet applications.
- Proficient knowledge of the Android SDK, Google Play Services, and Android Compatibility Library.
- Understanding of Android development patterns, including Java OOP, MVP, SQLite, and multithreading/background tasks.
- Familiarity with Android front-end/UI development, Google Material Design, web services, XML/JSON/REST, and local storage/databases.
- Experience with common Android libraries such as Dagger2 and Retrofit2, build tools, Playstore deployments, TDD, and writing unit/UI tests.
- Strong programming skills in at least two modern programming languages/frameworks (e.g., Swift, Objective C, Java, JavaScript, Python).
- Knowledge of infrastructure including RESTful APIs, Single Sign-On, and LDAP.
- Experience with continuous integration/deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins) and tools for code refactoring and design patterns.

- Minimum of 7 years in software development.
- Leadership experience in managing a team of developers.
- Hands-on experience with mobile CI/CD processes and development tools.
