Senior Application Support Engineer (Integration & Middleware)

About the Job:
The Integration Support role is responsible for maintaining the health and reliability of the enterprise middleware layer. As an L2 Application Support Engineer, you will manage complex data flows between systems, ensuring that Spring Boot services and IBM CP4I components (MQ, ACE, APIC) are performant, secure, and highly available.

Role Objective:

• Ensure the stability and efficiency of the enterprise middleware layer.
• Manage complex data flows between systems.

Strategic Technical Leadership:

• End-to-End Traceability: Trace transaction flows from the API Gateway (API Connect) through the Enterprise Service Bus (ACE) to backend Microservices (Spring Boot).
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct deep investigations into middleware failures.
• Platform Governance: Oversee stability of integration components on Red Hat OpenShift.
• Security Enforcement: Manage security protocols within the integration layer.

Detailed Technical Responsibilities:

• IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I): Troubleshoot message flows, adapter connectivity, and resolve issues in API definitions.
• Backend Microservices (Spring Boot): Optimize performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and utilize monitoring tools for log aggregation.

Technical Skill Set:

• Mastery of IBM CP4I (ACE, MQ, API Connect).
• Advanced Java and Spring Boot knowledge.
• Expert in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of key protocols and standards (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years in Middleware or Integration Support.
• Location: Must currently reside in Saudi Arabia.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications (Preferred): IBM Cloud Pak for Integration Specialist, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.

Language Requirements:

• Proficiency in English is expected.
