Responsibilities
In the Sr. Applied Scientist role, you will play a crucial part in pioneering research and development across various facets of AI, including but not limited to computer vision, natural language processing, and audio signal processing. Your work will involve:
- Creating and optimizing cutting-edge AI algorithms and deep learning models to advance areas such as semantic understanding, multidimensional data interpretation, and human-machine interactions.
- Applying your innovative efforts to practical use cases, impacting industries such as finance, oil and gas, environmental science, and healthcare.
- Engaging in the design, analysis, and optimization of foundational and applied research to power the state-of-the-art AI algorithms and model capabilities.
- Remaining informed on emerging trends and manipulating complex datasets while conceptualizing innovative models.
- Working on comprehensive solutions that integrate various modalities, including text, audio, and visual data.
- Collaborating with researchers and engineers across teams for the design, development, and continual improvement of AI algorithms, ensuring implementations are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Integrating new algorithms and models into broader product offerings and conducting proofs of concept (POC) as per client needs.
- Proposing scenarios where AI techniques could enhance business efficiency for customers.
- Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the business development team.
Qualifications
To qualify, you must have:
- An M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in computer science, engineering, or an AI-related field. Specialization in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, or Speech and Audio is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in developing AI algorithms for various modalities.
- A track record of conducting high-level research, indicated by publications in peer-reviewed journals or a history of product-driven research and development.
Ideally, you should also possess:
- A highly curious and inquisitive approach to problem-solving.
- In-depth knowledge of the latest developments in AI and machine learning.
- Excellent communication skills.
