Senior Applied Scientist

Inception is seeking a highly proficient and accomplished Applied Scientist to develop efficient deep-learning and generative AI algorithms aimed at transforming operations in the Oil and Gas sector. This role will involve close collaboration with product development teams to apply deep learning technologies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Pioneer research and development in AI, focusing on computer vision, natural language processing, and audio signal processing for the Oil and Gas industry.
• Create and optimize cutting-edge AI algorithms and deep learning models to enhance semantic understanding and human-machine interactions.
• Design, analyze, and optimize foundational and applied research to advance state-of-the-art AI algorithms.
• Integrate new algorithms and models into broader product offerings with product development teams, conducting proofs of concept as needed.
• Propose AI solutions to improve efficiency within the Oil and Gas sector.
• Provide technical support to the business development team before and after sales.

Qualifications
To qualify, you must have:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, or AI-related field, with specialization in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, or Speech and Audio.
• Minimum 6 years of experience developing AI algorithms for various modalities.
• Track record of high-level research, with evidence such as publications in peer-reviewed journals or product-driven R&D history.

Ideally, you’ll also need:

• A curious and inquisitive approach to problem-solving.
• In-depth knowledge of AI and machine learning developments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience and knowledge in the Oil & Gas sector.
