What You'll Do
- Write, edit, and transcreate copy in Arabic and English for websites, portals, mobile apps, and other digital platforms, including UX/microcopy, landing pages, service descriptions, and navigation labels.
- Produce digital communications such as email campaigns, newsletters, announcements, social media content, push notifications, and campaign messaging.
- Ensure that Arabic content is written natively, capturing cultural relevance and intent without literal translation.
- Develop and apply tone-of-voice guidelines, bilingual style guides, and terminology glossaries for consistent messaging across all channels.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to integrate content into user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes, considering right-to-left (RTL) layout.
- Transform client briefs, brand strategies, and research insights into structured content and messaging frameworks.
- Participate in client workshops and review cycles, presenting content rationales clearly and incorporating feedback from senior stakeholders.
- Ensure content quality from end to end by proofreading and reviewing your own work and that of the team for accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a structured, document-driven delivery environment.
Requirements
- Native-level fluency in Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic) and professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- At least 6 years of copywriting experience with a strong focus on digital channels (websites, platforms, apps, campaigns).
- A portfolio showcasing bilingual digital work, ideally including both UX/microcopy and marketing or communications.
- Proven ability to transcreate and localize content between Arabic and English, not merely translate.
- Experience working with enterprise, government, or semi-government clients, preferably in the GCC.
- Strong understanding of digital content best practices: readability, accessibility, information hierarchy, and SEO rules.
- Excellent attention to detail with a capacity to deliver polished, review-ready content under tight deadlines.
- Confident communicator capable of presenting and defending content decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working remotely and independently across time zones, available during GCC business hours.
Good to Have
- Experience on projects for top-tier consulting firms or within a consulting environment.
- Familiarity with Gulf Arabic and local cultural nuances across GCC markets.
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress) and design tools (e.g., Figma).
- Background in UX writing or content design, including building content for design systems.
- Experience creating content governance frameworks, editorial calendars, or conducting content audits.
- Knowledge of Arabic SEO and understanding of search behavior in Arabic.
- Experience with AI-assisted writing and translation tools, and knowledge of their effective application.
- A degree in Communications, Journalism, Translation, Marketing, or a related field.
