As a Senior Architect Engineer, you will apply your expertise to perform a variety of architectural assignments, guided by industry standards and practices. This role calls for a fully-qualified architect proficient in developing creative architectural solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing seal and signature of a professional architect when required by statute or contract.
- Conducting architectural studies, developing design concepts and criteria, and preparing related reports.
- Reviewing CAD/BIM drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by Architectural Designers to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Offering technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
- Writing construction specifications and preparing detailed requisitions for equipment and materials; interfacing with suppliers as required.
- Reviewing supplier drawings and samples, performing technical bid analyses.
- Coordinating work with engineering and construction units at project site; reviewing, approving, and issuing detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
- Providing technical guidance to lower-level Architects and Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
- Keeping abreast of current technologies via technical subscriptions and attendance at conferences.
- Preparing staffing estimates and execution plans.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in large-scale projects with overall responsibility for architectural engineering.
- Proficient knowledge of architectural design, production techniques, codes and standards, building materials, and construction methods.
- Expertise gained from experience with reputed firms.
- Familiarity with precedents in the specialty area and principles and practices of related engineering design methods and systems.
- Understanding of the building industry, regulatory standards, and design criteria pertinent to architectural work.
- Knowledge of international procedures, design guides, and automated practices.
- Proficient in the application and coordination of 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools on projects.
