Senior Architect - Storage and Data Protection

The company, a leader in AI-powered cloud and digital infrastructure, is seeking a Senior Architect for Storage and Data Protection. This role involves leading the architecture, design, and implementation of storage and data protection solutions, ensuring that storage platforms are scalable, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with Cloud and HPC business requirements.

Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and design of multi-petabyte-scale block, file, and object storage solutions for cloud environments.
• Define storage and data protection architecture standards and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Evaluate and design storage and backup technologies.
• Develop disaster recovery strategies and support capacity planning and performance analysis.
• Conduct architecture reviews and configuration assessments.
• Prepare, review, and approve necessary documentation, ensuring alignment with design requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in designing and managing storage solutions, with a minimum of 5 years in software-defined storage.
• Expert knowledge in storage architecture and data protection strategies.
• Strong experience with various storage protocols and technologies from leading vendors.
• Familiarity with cloud-native backup and disaster recovery solutions is advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems administration and scripting.
