As a Senior Back-End Software Engineer, you will own the architecture, design, development, and testing of scalable Compliance and RegTech solutions. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining secure, high-performance applications using Django REST Framework/Python (backend) to streamline counterparty onboarding, risk assessment, and regulatory screening. You will ensure robust APIs, seamless integrations, and compliance with industry standards (GDPR, ISO 27001), while driving secure coding practices and collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and compliance specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and own APIs that enhance onboarding, screening, and entity intelligence.
- Expand product functionality by introducing data-driven capabilities without compromising stability.
- Integrate ElasticSearch for advanced query performance and analytics.
- Work with various platforms/services for risk assessment and compliance automation.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and compliance specialists to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Implement shift-left testing approaches throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with secure coding practices, data privacy (GDPR), and regulatory alignment.
- Maintain security, scalability, and data integrity of applications.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years in full-stack development, mainly with Python/Django REST Framework; familiarity with RegTech, Compliance, or FinTech solutions is a strong plus.
- Training: Certifications in Django REST Framework, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and relevant AI/machine learning frameworks are beneficial.
- Core Skills: Strong experience with Python, Django, database design (preferably Microsoft SQL Server), API security best practices, and asynchronous task processing.
