Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual models for problem areas and apply these effectively.
- Deliver a structural contribution to coding (application, scripts) in the deployment pipeline.
- Act as a mentor for novices and possess extensive engineering knowledge and skills gained from years of experience.
- Actively seek coaching from proficient and expert engineers and pursue advanced training with certification in several fields of engineering.
- Show mastery of all engineering skills including ATDD, analysis, design, test scripting, coding, and peer reviewing.
- Integrate applications with all required systems and services, providing a clean and easy-to-use API for the frontend of the system.
- Use technical expertise to contribute to all sprint events (planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos).
- Consult with the team to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of IT products.
- Design, build, and test IT products ensuring functional, performance, resilience, and security tests are automated.
- Perform Life Cycle Management for IT products under management, including resolving incidents and setting up monitoring of IT product usage.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a backend developer in languages and frameworks such as Java Spring Boot, NodeJS, and functional programming in Scala.
- Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and engineering principles like SOLID.
- Experience writing and utilizing autonomous services oriented RESTful API services and performance tuning large-scale applications.
- Familiarity with database systems and knowledge of SQL and NoSQL stores (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Couchbase).
- Ability to integrate with JavaScript frameworks, such as React and Angular JS is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience as a Developer on a cross-functional agile team preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts and align the organization on decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to process complex information quickly and present it clearly.
- Passionate about technology and excited about emerging/disruptive technologies.
