Responsibilities:
- Design business-specific software components and modules using appropriate modeling techniques.
- Create and communicate design views to balance stakeholder concerns for both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Model or simulate proposed software behavior for stakeholder approval.
- Design, code, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor complex programs/scripts and integration services.
- Define and manage scoping, requirements definition, and prioritization activities for changes.
- Follow agreed standards and document detailed requirements.
- Contribute to software development approach selection—predictive or adaptive.
- Design test cases and scripts, recording and reporting outcomes.
- Maintain specialist knowledge of database, data warehouse concepts, and software architecture.
- Develop optimal solutions to enhance user experience, optimizing for speed, scalability, and feasibility.
- Participate in architecture discussions to understand product functionalities.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Comply with QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) and related organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Backend engineering with strong computer science fundamentals.
- At least 5 years in Agile development methodologies in an AI service organization or analytics industry.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, big data/Hadoop, Docker, and microservices development (mandatory).
- Experience in cloud computing and platform development/deployment.
- Extensive UNIX/LINUX and Shell scripting experience.
- Proficiency in understanding data, SQL and NoSQL databases, with familiarity in Elasticsearch.
- Experience in RESTful API development.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of JavaScript, Hive, Kubernetes, Python, and cloud platforms.
- In-depth market and domain knowledge.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in nginx server and AWS or Azure cloud services.
