Senior Backend Engineer

The company is seeking an innovative, creative, and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to build the structure of advanced software applications by writing flawless business logic, server scripts, and APIs. This role is key in sustaining and optimizing the infrastructure that develops and delivers cutting-edge analytics solutions at the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design business-specific software components and modules using appropriate modeling techniques in line with agreed software design standards.
• Create and communicate multiple design views to balance the concerns of all stakeholders and to cater to both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Model or simulate the behavior of proposed software to enable stakeholder approval and facilitate effective construction of the software.
• Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of database and data warehouse concepts, design principles, architecture, software, and facilities.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software backend development with strong computer science fundamentals
• At least 5 years of experience in Java Spring Boot and microservices development
• Familiarity with Maven and experience in cloud computing platform development & deployment
• Extensive UNIX/LINUX experience and Shell scripting experience
• Proficiency in understanding data and SQL and NoSQL databases, with familiarity in Elasticsearch preferred
• Experience in RESTful API development and practices in multithreading and concurrency programming
• Proficient use of Git
