As a Senior Backend Engineer at the company, you will be responsible for designing and building production-grade microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x while adhering to clean code and SOLID principles. You will own services end-to-end—from specifications and design to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration—without any hand-offs involved. Your role will involve authoring OpenAPI 3.x specifications and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to champion spec-driven development and writing comprehensive unit, integration, and contract tests using TDD discipline with at least 80% meaningful coverage. You will also design and manage event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka for asynchronous workflows, domain events, and data streaming, and architect and deploy services on AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch, IAM).

Core Responsibilities:
- Implement microservices architecture patterns with API Gateway, Circuit Breaker (Resilience4j), Saga, CQRS, and Outbox.
- Design RESTful APIs using OpenAPI 3.x specifications as the source of truth.
- Leverage 10+ years of professional hands-on backend software engineering experience in production environments.
- Demonstrate enterprise-scale Agentic SDLC / AI-DLC implementation experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or a similarly regulated, high-compliance domain.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Developer / Solutions Architect is a plus.
- Proven track record of delivering complex distributed systems with high availability and measurable performance outcomes.
- Nice to have experience with open banking APIs, PSD2, or CBDC-related workloads, as well as knowledge of AML, KYC, or fraud detection system design.
