Responsibilities:
- Design business-specific software components and modules in accordance with software design standards and methodologies.
- Perform data modeling from external sources and manage data loading into the application database (ETL).
- Optimize code for performance, stability, and resilience.
- Investigate and work with complex data sources, including poorly documented binary formats.
- Develop transformation logic to convert raw data into a usable format.
- Deploy solutions to production and verify their correctness and stability.
- Resolve production incidents and conduct post-mortem analyses.
- Collaborate with ML Engineers to develop scalable and fail-safe services.
- Comply with organizational policies related to QHSE, Business Continuity, and Information Security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and supporting data-intensive network services.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, big data/Hadoop, Docker, and microservices development is a must.
- Experience with NoSQL applications, weak schema definitions, and unreliable networks.
- Familiarity with integrating 3rd party systems using various protocols (queues, SQL, file-based, gRPC, RESTful).
- Experience supporting software in production, including log analysis and configuration adjustments.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Proficiency in Python and exposure to other programming languages such as Java, Golang, or C++.
- Understanding of Elasticsearch and Kubernetes.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Machine Learning concepts and frameworks.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and explore complex data layers.
