CoreConnect, a flagship product of the company, acts as the digital glue within the complex ecosystem of autonomous mobility in logistics. We are focused on building the infrastructure layer for autonomous operations, developing a robot orchestration platform that enables logistics operators to deploy, manage, and scale fleets of autonomous robots in real-world environments.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing a scalable Hexagonal Backend API service that serves as the primary interface for our commercial ecosystem. We are looking for engineers who value autonomy, technical pragmatism, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable Kotlin Spring Boot backend services using Hexagonal architecture for fleet orchestration.
- Manage complex data layers (Postgres/PostGIS, TimescaleDB) and develop a Unified Abstraction Layer for various autonomous vehicle APIs.
- Drive the technical roadmap for real-time data engineering, ensuring sub-second latency in data ingestion.
- Enforce standards for platform security and observability, implementing Multi-tenant Architecture and Role-Based Access Control.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering Leadership, and DevSecOps to build high-quality solutions.
- Mentor engineers, lead rigorous code reviews, and foster an engineering culture of operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in distributed systems and scalable API design.
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL), geospatial data (GIS/PostGIS), and time-series data.
- Knowledge in low-latency communication (WebSockets, MQTT) and building abstraction layers.
- Focus on software quality with hands-on experience in automated testing and security best practices.
- Practical experience with frontend technologies (React or Next.js) is a plus.
- Mastery of cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in logistics, robotics, or fleet management systems is beneficial.
- Fluency in Business English is required.
