Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in architectural decision-making for a platform utilized by millions.
- Contribute to the migration of our monolithic application into microservices.
- Design, enhance, and secure the backend architecture to accommodate substantial growth in users and products.
- Manage Docker containers and Kubernetes manifests on Google Cloud Platform.
- Coach and mentor team members as a senior team member.
- Embrace Design Driven Development, SOLID Principles, Event-driven Architecture, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and agile teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Engage in continuous efforts for test coverage, refactoring, and documentation.
- Utilize skills in code review, debugging, and investigation regularly.
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in backend development using GoLang, Ruby on Rails (RoR), Java, or Python.
- Strong database expertise in PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, with a solid understanding of normal forms, ACID principles, isolation levels, indexing, query optimization, and memory caching (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
- Proficiency in monitoring, alerting, and logging tools such as Grafana.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices, Kubernetes, and containerization.
- Experience with migrating monolithic applications and knowledge of payment processing or the Fintech domain is desirable.
- Strong testing mindset with experience writing unit and integration tests.
