Senior Big Data Engineer (Databricks)

The position is within the Big Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, focused on data consulting and engineering.

As a Senior Big Data Engineer, you will be part of a team of data-focused Engineers dedicated to continuous learning and improvement. You will work with a cutting-edge technology stack and engage with customers ranging from large corporations to start-ups. Your involvement will span the entire project lifecycle, from initial design to full-scale implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design data models and build ETL pipelines to address business problems.
• Work with Databricks Lakehouse architecture and Azure cloud technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Services).
• Develop and scale both streaming and batch data pipelines.
• Conduct trade-off analysis and solve technical challenges.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engage in impactful projects.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, particularly in designing data models and ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
• Advanced SQL skills for relational databases.
• Knowledgeable in database and data warehouse design best practices.
• Effective communication skills in English (upper-intermediate level or higher).
