The Big Data & Analytics Center of Excellence at SoftServe focuses on data consulting and engineering. Initially starting as a small group in 2013, we’ve expanded to hundreds of Data Engineers and Architects who build end-to-end Data & Analytics solutions from strategy through design and implementation. We serve customers across various domains, including Healthcare, Finance, Manufacturing, Retail, and Energy, and maintain partnerships with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft).
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in impactful projects and address business and technology challenges.
- Participate in the entire project lifecycle, from design and proof of concept to development and full-scale implementation.
- Collaborate with a team dedicated to continuous learning, improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.
- High proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with additional languages (Scala/Java) is a plus.
- Strong experience with Spark (PySpark, Spark SQL), including optimization of jobs.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and familiarity with development tools like VS Code and Git.
- Proficiency with cloud environments, specifically Azure (including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL).
- Familiarity with real-time data or streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming).
- Strong understanding of data modeling and schema evolution.
- Experience in the Healthcare domain is a plus; Databricks or Azure certifications are also beneficial.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is expected.
