Senior BIM 4D Manager

About the Role
This role is crucial for delivering projects that meet agreed outcomes in terms of time, cost, and quality. As a Senior BIM 4D Manager, you will lead teams and stakeholders in unlocking project potential, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), managing risks and changes, and ensuring strong commercial performance, all while creating a positive impact for clients, employees, and the wider business.

Your Responsibilities

• Champion safety, wellbeing, inclusivity, and responsible delivery across every project.
• Deliver projects through clear planning, quality systems, and strong stakeholder collaboration.

• Develop and maintain organizational standards, procedures, and governance frameworks for 4D planning and schedule simulation.
• Define 4D requirements within BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), project delivery requirements, and digital standards.
• Ensure alignment with ISO 19650 information management principles and organizational BIM requirements.
• Establish quality assurance processes for model and schedule integration.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of 4D models by integrating BIM models with project schedules (e.g., Primavera P6).
• Develop construction phasing, logistics simulations, and sequencing visualizations.
• Validate schedule logic through model-based simulations; identify sequencing conflicts, interfaces, and delivery risks.
• Support project teams in evaluating alternative construction strategies and recovery plans.
• Produce animations, time slices, and visual simulations for project reviews and executive reporting.
• Coordinate with BIM Managers, Project Controls teams, GIS specialists, and project stakeholders to maintain accurate and reliable 4D environments.
• Manage the aggregation of multidisciplinary models for district, precinct, and program-level planning.
• Ensure data consistency between models, schedules, and reporting platforms.
• Facilitate workshops focused on construction sequencing, interfaces, accessibility, operations, and logistics planning.
• Develop dashboards, executive reports, visual presentations, and stakeholder communication materials.
• Create high-quality visual outputs suitable for project governance reviews and senior leadership presentations.
• Support integration of 4D outputs into Power BI and digital twin initiatives where applicable.
• Lead and mentor 4D planners, BIM coordinators, and digital delivery specialists.
• Promote knowledge sharing and capability development across project teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of 4D workflows, tools, and automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
• Professional BIM and Project Controls qualifications preferred.
• ISO 19650 certification preferred.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations (RICS, CIOB, PMI, AACE, ICE, or equivalent) desirable.
• Extensive experience in BIM, digital engineering, construction planning, or project controls.
• Intensive experience in leading 4D planning and schedule simulation on large-scale infrastructure or mixed-use developments.
• Experience in managing BIM data across multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated experience on mega-projects and complex multi-package developments.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Synchro Pro, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Revit, Revizto, Civil 3D, Unreal Engine (desirable), Power BI, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and CDE platforms.
• Knowledge in 4D Sequencing & Construction Simulation, BIM & Digital Information Management, Project Controls, Construction Logistics Planning, Project Phasing, Schedule Analysis, Risk Management, Data Visualization, Executive Reporting, and Stakeholder Management.
