Senior BIM Engineer

About the Role / About the Job
The Senior BIM Engineer plays a crucial role as part of the project team, collaborating closely with project owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. The focus is on developing and analyzing the virtual construction process to enhance construction efficiency, job cost savings, and the overall quality of project documentation and delivery.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop schematic and detailed level models, including identifying conflicts, incomplete, or ambiguous design information.
• Coordinate with BIM service providers and subcontractors.
• Create new library components.
• Assist the BIM Manager in compiling contract BIM close-out documentation.
• Aid in the preparation of BIM guidelines for project-specific requirements.
• Provide training for project personnel on the use of BIM tools.
• Assist with planning and scheduling, cost report setup and forecasting, and issuing change orders, notices, and revisions.
• Understand contractual and legal guidelines.
• Develop models to illustrate contractor questions and solutions.
• Maintain a BIM revision log and derive material quantities.
• Assist the project team with construction coordination and scheduling.
• Print drawing sets for team review.

• Timely and accurate preparation of BIM models, shop drawings, etc.
• Provide daily and weekly timesheets.
• Demonstrate a deep interest in learning new skills and knowledge.
• Maintain a positive attitude towards collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exhibit effective communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, are a requirement for success in this role.

Job Experience

• Minimum of 8 years working experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of experience in GCC is a plus.

Education
