Key Responsibilities
Model and Drawing Production
- Deliver models and drawings for the team's scope, including complex gravity and pressure networks, corridors, surfaces, and cross sections.
- Apply NOC data standardization and base plan standardization to the work.
- Maintain base plan and title block requirements at each milestone stage.
- Produce BIM models with the required geometry and attributes, exporting them to the necessary proprietary formats.
- Maintain a single source of truth for 2D extraction of drawings.
- Produce cut sheets, bind drawings, and perform drawing quality control self-checks.
- Implement the discipline model checklist and the 3D check before submission.
- Use the drawing checklist and CAD standard compliance check for 2D drawings.
- Conduct final drawing sanity checks before review.
- Review the technicians' work prior to submission to the team lead.
Coordination
- Participate in clash resolution activities and rectify clashes assigned to the team.
- Provide input for master and task information delivery plans regarding realistic work estimates.
- Contribute to quantity take-off to support the bill of quantities.
- Mentor technicians by demonstrating standards and workflows, aiding their development.
- Utilize design automation tools for repetitive tasks and report any defects for resolution.
Qualifications
- Diploma in civil engineering or draughtsmanship, or a degree in a related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in infrastructure modeling and drafting within an engineering consultancy.
- Proven experience with Civil 3D on live infrastructure projects rather than academic exercises.
- Experience in the Middle East preferred.
Technical Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D including pipe and pressure networks, corridors, surfaces, data shortcuts, styles, label sets, and sheet sets.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Navisworks for clash reviews.
- Familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 for file management and package sharing.
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu for markup is required.
- Proficiency in Revit, Plant 3D, or Dynamo is advantageous.
