The successful candidate will collaborate across business, data, and reporting teams and should have a strong understanding of SAP, Power BI, and data models to translate business requirements into clear specifications for technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate business discovery and requirements-gathering workshops with key stakeholders.
- Understand existing SAP BW and SAC reports, business processes, KPIs, data requirements, and reporting dependencies.
- Document and finalize requirements for report enhancements and new builds in collaboration with business users.
- Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in existing reporting requirements.
- Map requirements back to BW objects and fields for data model creation.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Power BI Developers, and SAP SMEs to ensure technical feasibility of requirements.
- Support testing, business validation, and UAT, ensuring delivered reports meet requirements.
- Maintain traceability between business requirements and delivered solutions.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst in Data, Analytics, BI, or Data Modernization programs.
- Proven experience conducting business workshops and requirement-gathering sessions.
- Familiarity with SAP BW, SAC, and BO’s roles in enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Understanding of SAP source systems, including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Ariba, and SuccessFactors.
- Good understanding of Power BI, reports, dashboards, KPIs, and underlying data models.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate should possess strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills alongside practical knowledge of enterprise data and reporting environments. Experience supporting an SAP BW migration to cloud platforms such as Azure would be highly advantageous.
