Position

The company Consulting team is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join us in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will work as a subject-matter expert in the company’s infrastructure and cloud technology. You'll answer questions about best practices around automation, reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups and lead the on-site delivery and implementation of the company’s technology. You will gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructures and business issues and will make recommendations appropriate to their environments. What you will do:

  • Win the confidence of our prospective customers through the successful delivery of discovery, analysis, and design workshops that shape and influence the customer’s use cases and architecture design decisions to align with the company solution.
  • Design and scope delivery projects while leading consulting teams through successful customer pilot and production deployments.
  • Design, create, and deliver content that enables the broader company organization to sell (pre-sales), service (consulting), and support (CEE) our solutions at scale.
  • Work closely with product business units, product engineering, consulting, support, and sales to ensure a world-class customer experience with the company’s products.
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale the company’s services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in the community by producing world-class white papers, webinars, etc., and speaking at industry-leading conferences.

What you will bring:

  • Background in the company Enterprise Linux (Command line skills, Linux network configuration).
  • Experience with Containers, container management utilities, and debugging containers; also Quay.
  • Skills in Package management, both on the CLI and with the company Satellite.
  • Hands-on knowledge in the company OpenShift Container Platform (RHOSO18 requires OCP as the base platform to be deployed upon, so OCP knowledge becomes a prerequisite for OSP).
  • Architecture skills, specifically around datacenter infrastructure (networking, compute, and storage).
  • Compute skills: Lights-Out-Management LOM (IPMI, Redfish), UEFI/BIOS, server hardware.
  • Networking skills: Software Defined Networking SDN, Layer 2 (ARP, MAC), Layer 3 (TCP, UDP), and Layer 4 (IP), Open Virtual Switch OVS.
  • Storage skills: Software Defined Storage SDS (Ceph), SAN, NAS.
  • Ansible basics (playbooks and troubleshooting).
  • Authentication and Authorization (company IDM, Active Directory).
  • Experience with network/datacenter design, elaboration of design and architecture documents, and scoping/discovery sessions.

Work Conditions
The company will support relocation to the UAE for a successful candidate.
