Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
- Administer network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, firewalls, and routing.
- Manage hybrid cloud connectivity, including site-to-site VPN, Direct Connect, and ExpressRoute.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, and/or Ansible.
- Implement and maintain IAM and Privileged Access Management (PAM) controls.
- Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity, and performance, and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Support cloud security and compliance requirements, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure performance and costs.
- Support CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.
- Participate in client onboarding, infrastructure assessments, and cloud migration projects.
- Manage incidents and requests through PSA/RMM/ITSM platforms such as ConnectWise, Autotask, Kaseya, or ServiceNow.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and runbooks.
- Communicate directly with clients and act as a technical escalation point.
- Mentor junior administrators and participate in on-call support when required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP; multi-cloud experience is an advantage.
- CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on networking experience.
- Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting/CIDR, NAT, VPNs, firewalls, OSPF, and BGP.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or Ansible.
- Experience with IAM and PAM solutions such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or HashiCorp Vault.
- Scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring/observability tools.
- Experience working with PSA, RMM, or ITSM/ticketing platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage multiple client environments and SLA priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS, Azure, or GCP professional certifications.
- CCNP or higher networking certification.
- Previous experience within an MSP, IT services, or consulting environment.
- Experience with cloud migrations, regulated environments, and cloud cost optimization.
- Strong client-facing communication and mentoring skills.
