Responsibilities & Authorities:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for designing resilient, high-availability (HA) cloud architectures across multiple regions and clouds.
- Manage multi-account cloud environments, including creation, organization, and governance using AWS Organizations, Azure Management Groups, or Google Cloud Resource Hierarchies.
- Utilize tools such as AWS Control Tower, Azure Blueprints, or Google Cloud Resource Manager to automate and standardize account setup and governance.
- Design and implement cloud landing zones that provide secure, scalable foundations for deploying workloads.
- Automate the enforcement of organizational policies, tagging strategies, and compliance requirements using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and policy-as-code tools.
- Conduct Well-Architected Reviews and implement best practices to enhance cloud architecture.
- Optimize cloud costs across multiple accounts with techniques like consolidated billing and reserved instances.
- Configure and manage cloud networking, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Implement cost-saving measures such as rightsizing, auto-scaling, and workload scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of cloud networking principles and the Well-Architected Framework.
- Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) and multi-account cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Go, and familiarity with configuration management tools.
- Demonstrated communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
