Senior Consultant

OVERVIEW

ROLE PURPOSE
To lead complex data analytics and business intelligence initiatives that support the growing internal and external demand for trusted, actionable, and accessible insights across the company’s product portfolio. The role is responsible for translating business information needs into analytical solutions, developing data models and executive dashboards, ensuring reporting quality, and providing expert guidance that enables informed decision-making, performance improvement, and value realization in alignment with the company’s policies, procedures, and strategic objectives.

1. Data Analytics Planning & Delivery

   • Lead the planning and delivery of complex data analytics initiatives supporting internal products and external client requirements.
   • Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities.
   • Define analytical approaches and recommend appropriate methods based on business requirements.
   • Ensure analytical deliverables are accurate, relevant, and completed according to agreed priorities.

2. Business Intelligence Requirements Management

   • Engage with stakeholders to understand business objectives, information needs, and reporting requirements.
   • Translate business needs into clear business intelligence and analytics requirements.
   • Facilitate requirements workshops and validation sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
   • Maintain traceability between business requirements, data sources, analytical models, and delivered solutions.

3. Data Visualization & Dashboard Development

   • Design and develop reports, dashboards, scorecards, charts, and other data visualizations.
   • Present complex information in a clear and accessible format for operational and management stakeholders.
   • Ensure dashboard structure, visual design, and user experience comply with the company’s branding and reporting guidelines.
   • Continuously enhance analytical dashboards based on business feedback and evolving information needs.

4. Data Modeling & Analytical Solution Design

   • Design and maintain data models that support business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics requirements.
   • Define data structures, measures, dimensions, and relationships required for analytical solutions.
   • Ensure analytical models support data integrity, accessibility, performance, and scalability.
   • Collaborate with data engineering and technical teams to align analytical models with enterprise data architecture.

5. Product Analytics & Performance Insights

   • Develop analytical solutions that provide visibility into product usage, performance, customer behavior, and business outcomes.
   • Define and monitor relevant product performance indicators in collaboration with product stakeholders.
   • Generate insights and recommendations that support product enhancement and performance improvement.
   • Support product teams in making evidence-based decisions using reliable data and analytical findings.

6. Data Quality & Reporting Assurance

   • Establish validation mechanisms to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of analytical outputs.
   • Identify data quality issues and coordinate with relevant teams to support investigation and remediation.
   • Review reports and dashboards to ensure information is consistent with approved definitions and business rules.
   • Promote standardized reporting practices and trusted use of data across supported products and client engagements.

7. Stakeholder Advisory & Analytics Enablement

   • Provide expert analytical guidance to product teams, business stakeholders, and external client-facing teams.
   • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
   • Support stakeholders in interpreting data and applying insights to operational and strategic decisions.
   • Promote effective use of analytics, dashboards, and self-service reporting capabilities.

8. Analytics Improvement & Capability Development

   • Identify opportunities to improve analytical methods, reporting solutions, tools, and delivery processes.
   • Evaluate emerging analytics technologies and recommend relevant enhancements to existing capabilities.
   • Develop reusable analytical models, reporting standards, and documentation to improve delivery efficiency.
   • Facilitate knowledge transfer and support the development of data analytics capabilities within the function.

9. Policies, Processes & Procedures

   • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
   • Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

• Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Academic and professional qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

Years and Nature of Experience

• 6–8 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Product Analytics, Data Visualization, Reporting, or related disciplines.
