Position

In Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) within Assurance, we assist our clients in addressing the accounting and financial reporting challenges facing their business. You will be part of a team that provides insights and services to accelerate analytics, decision-making, and innovation, ultimately building a stronger and more efficient finance function. The FAAS practice is one of the fastest growing areas of our business, presenting an opportunity to support various accounting projects in both the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a diverse range of clients to assess the impact of new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
  • Build and maintain strong networks internally and externally.
  • Report to Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners during all stages of FAAS engagements.
  • Provide accounting advisory services for compliance with IFRS and IPSAS standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and IPSAS.
  • Provide guidance on the adoption of new accounting standards and assist clients in streamlining their accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with other EY locations and specialists to deliver integrated services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
  • Deliver high-quality work in compliance with EY policies and meet client needs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Professional qualification (CPA, CMA) is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, particularly in preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with IFRS and/or IPSAS.
  • Previous experience in a Big Four accounting firm and experience in Saudi Arabia is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and IPSAS standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
