Position

The company, an e& enterprise, is seeking an experienced Senior CSOC Consultant to join their Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC). This role is pivotal in ensuring the protection of organizational assets through effective CSOC operations. The successful candidate will proactively identify threats and risks, implement detection and response processes, and conduct cyber security incident investigations. Coordination with ITD stakeholders is essential to maintain smooth operations of supporting technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Build effective relationships within ITD for the delivery of CSOC services.
  • Promote awareness and support implementation of appropriate controls and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Managed Security Service Provider to ensure mutual understanding of security needs.
  • Operate and maintain the CSOC technology stack.
  • Execute investigation processes for CSOC events and incidents, ensuring timely identification of threats.
  • Identify and implement security monitoring use cases.
  • Draft, maintain, and improve incident response playbooks.
  • Design automated actions for prompt containment and response.
  • Manage vulnerability and compliance activities with stakeholder reporting.
  • Provide reporting and metrics to support IT Security and compliance management.
  • Review MSSP activities for adherence to the Statement of Work and Service Level Agreements.
  • Develop the Cyber-Security Operations Centre Roadmap and execute related tasks.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within the team.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
  • Analyze risks, escalate issues, and report breaches of policy as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in a security organization within regulated industries.
  • Relevant Information Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CISM, OSCP).
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Knowledge of common programming languages and experience with SIEMs and Security Analytics.
  • Proven experience in cyber security event and incident investigations.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and exceptional interpersonal communication.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
