Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of security assurance activities within the Product portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Integrate and synthesize outputs from specialist cybersecurity teams (such as compliance, governance, and secure coding), ensuring that identified risks and control gaps are tracked, prioritized, and managed through their lifecycle.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of security controls and assurance processes, ensuring continuous improvement in the security posture of the Product portfolio.
- Champion the adoption and optimization of formal methodologies, tools, and documentation for security assurance activities.
- Engage and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to promote a culture of security awareness, accountability, and secure-by-design.
Requirements
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) with an information security-related industry recognized certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC certification, CEH, etc.
- Good working knowledge of information security assurance principles, control frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Experience coordinating and integrating outputs from multiple specialist cybersecurity teams.
- Skills in monitoring, reviewing, and escalating security control effectiveness and assurance process outcomes.
- Ability to champion the adoption of security methodologies, tools, and documentation for assurance activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to facilitate knowledge transfer and support secure-by-design initiatives.
- Analytical and organizational abilities to track risk remediation and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Collaborative mindset for working across business and technical teams to embed assurance findings into processes.
- Adaptability and initiative to support a proactive, risk-aware, and improvement-focused security culture.
