In this role, you will build, manage, and operate security technologies in compliance with corporate policy and standards, ensuring that security designs meet business requirements and effectively address risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery projects and build high-level designs to accomplish business needs while prioritizing cyber risk reduction.
- Manage the cybersecurity technology lifecycle from conception to service operation.
- Make design decisions that align with security principles, coordinating with internal teams to build support for design decisions and favorable risk reduction outcomes.
- Build technical documentation for cybersecurity technology designs and operations, and support the creation of associated security technology standards.
- Facilitate ongoing reviews of cybersecurity technology designs and alignment with industry best practices.
- Support the diagnosis and resolution of cybersecurity technology issues as a subject matter expert.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or Network Technologies.
- Certifications such as F5 Certified Professional, PCNSE, and SANS, ISC2 are desired.
- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, Networking, and Cybersecurity.
Knowledge/Skills Required
- Detailed understanding of Web and Network Security protocols, particularly HTTP/HTTPS.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and other web security risks and mitigations.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code for automation of network security configurations using F5 (iControl REST API, iRules, etc.).
- Hands-on experience managing Network Security technologies including NGFW, Web Application Firewalls, and Cloud proxy.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
