As a Senior CyberSecurity Technical Engineer, you will build, manage, and operate security technologies in compliance with corporate policy and standards, ensuring that security designs meet business requirements and address risk.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery projects and build high-level designs to meet business needs while prioritizing cyber risk reduction.
- Manage the cybersecurity technology lifecycle from conception to service operation.
- Make design decisions aligning to security principles.
- Coordinate with internal teams to build support for design decisions and favorable risk reduction outcomes.
- Build technical documentation for cybersecurity technology designs, operations, and support the creation of associated security technology standards.
- Facilitate ongoing review of cybersecurity technology designs and alignment with industry best practices.
- Support diagnosis and resolution of cybersecurity technology issues as a subject matter expert.
- Ensure security designs meet business requirements and address risk.
Requirements
- Degree or Honours in Computer Science, Engineering, or Network Technologies.
- Certifications such as F5 Certified Professional, PCNSE, and SANS, ISC2 are desired.
- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, Networking, and Cybersecurity.
- Detailed understanding of Web and Network Security protocols, particularly HTTP/HTTPS, and knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and other Web security risks and mitigations.
- Hands-on experience managing Network Security technologies, including NGFW, Web Application Firewalls, Cloud proxy, and Certificate management tools.
- Strong skills in developing remediation plans for identified problems, vulnerabilities, and configuration gaps in Network Security platforms.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and a strong grasp of monitoring and testing concepts for Network Security products.
